Appartement Villa Eva Rosa

The welcome was what made the stay for me. I felt right at home, and had a nice chat with the host. We even sorted out my breakfast time straight away. It was a generous serving, and I really enjoyed it. I was lucky with the lovely weather too, and went for a walk through the dunes and along the beach. There are lots of nice beach bars for lunch or coffee. Villa Eva Rosa in Wijk aan Zee has a really good, affordable apartment. Highly recommended! Love, Lars

Even in peak season, Villa Eva Rosa is peaceful. Wijk aan Zee is a small village, mostly restaurants and beach clubs, with the only shop perhaps 50 meters from the B&B. There are no nightclubs or shopping malls. I stayed in the Studio Room, which cost just 90 euros per person per night in summer, a very attractive price for the quality and space. It was bigger than a standard hotel room and got plenty of sun from its south and west facing windows. The kitchen is fully equipped, with pots, pans, a sandwich maker, glasses, bowls and plates. There’s also a microwave, a fridge with a freezer, and a large cupboard for belongings. The room has a Smart TV and a large bed. It doesn’t have air conditioning, which suited me because I hate it and never use it. I think some of the other rooms do have it. The bathroom is spacious and bright, with a window, and I was surprised to find a first aid kit there. I haven’t seen that in other hotels. There were dominoes and go-karts in the room too, a unique idea I’ve only come across once before. Outside, you can sit at a table with chairs in the sun to eat or do something else, like write a review. There are lots of flowers and cosy decorations inside and out. Breakfast is available for an extra fee, but I didn’t order it, so I can’t comment on how good it is. One small issue: the microwave had lots of crumbs in it when I arrived. I cleaned it myself, no problem. Check-out is by 11:00 AM and check-in by 6:00 PM, though arriving later is fine. They send a useful video showing where everything is and how it works, handy if you’re coming by public transport after work. Payment is by cash or bank transfer only.

My husband and I spent six days at Villa Eva Rosa in October and had a lovely stay. The owners were very nice and ready to help if we needed anything. We asked for breakfast to be brought to our apartment, and it was fresh, tasty, and plentiful every time, with warm rolls, lots of fruit, and yogurt. Thank you for the lovely accommodation.

Really great value for money. The place is near the beach, about a 10 minute walk, and there’s a Spar supermarket just around the corner. Plenty of places nearby to eat and drink, including good spots right on the beach. The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean, with everything you need. The owners are helpful and make an effort whenever you need something.
