This is my favourite of the Fletcher hotels I’ve stayed at, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been here. The staff are kind and helpful, and the rooms are spacious, with balconies, a fridge, a bathtub, and plenty more to make it feel like a home away from home. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of stay. :)

We’ve stayed at many hotels in this chain and have usually been satisfied, but this one was an exception. The floor was so dirty that my socks turned black after just five minutes in the room. Shampoo and shower gel, basic things a guest needs, weren’t provided, and the girl at reception was terribly unfriendly. The price doesn’t match the quality.

The hotel itself wasn’t bad, but I wasn’t impressed by the restaurant. The fish special that month, sole, came in a portion closer to a starter, despite the high price. The tournedos was cooked well, though the meat quality was poor, especially for what it cost. Haard is about a 15-minute walk away and a better option for me: prices are slightly higher, but the food quality and cooking are perfect.

The room floor will turn white socks black in about five minutes, so bring 3-4 pairs if you’re staying here. The usual chain extras like shampoo and other toiletries were missing, and the staff couldn’t help with basic guest needs. For two people, I’d say a fair price would be no more than 30€ a night.

Our electric bike was stolen during our stay, even though we’d been assured there was a secure bike shed. Its door was only slightly damaged, and the roughly 12 hotel branded bikes inside were still there and unlocked, but both locks on our bike had been sawn through and it was gone. No one at the hotel heard the locks being cut or saw a van taking a bike away. How suspicious. Management showed no willingness to acknowledge the security failure. Don’t go there.
