A lovely old-fashioned wooden interior, with stained glass and a mishmash of furniture. It’s a great spot to meet, relax, have coffee and a bite. Friendly staff, and I had a good visit.

I expected a more comfortable room. Mine was on the top floor during the hot season, and the temperature was nearly 40 degrees Celsius. When I asked the receptionist if I could open the doors all the way, he said they would charge me and that birds might come in. I had no way to cool the room and suffered through the heat for all 3 days. The hotel has 3 floors in one half and 2 floors in the other. There was also a nasty smell upstairs, like caustic soda or washing soap, with clothes left out to dry. I booked 3 breakfasts but only got 2. The woman serving breakfast in the morning was rude, and whatever you choose, they just throw something onto the plate and call it breakfast. I even wondered whether the cutlery had been washed. I’m adding a picture showing what the salmon breakfast actually looks like. I wouldn’t stay here again. Although they have a restaurant, I didn’t eat there, and I skipped the free breakfast the next day. The food photos they’ve posted look like they came from the internet. How can they serve such terrible food while showing 7star pictures? Almost nothing was enjoyable.

The breakfast was included, and there was a good selection for me. The location is central, near lots of shops and restaurants, and the train station is a short walk away. This small, friendly hotel had a clean, comfortable room with everything I needed, looking onto a peaceful courtyard. The safe was locked, but I didn’t need it, so I didn’t ask anyone to open it. My room was above the restaurant, though I didn’t hear noise from it. The trouble was the noisy Dutch guests in the rooms on either side. They shouted outside my door and slammed doors after midnight. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

There’s no car park, but the rooms are nice, with comfortable beds and pillows and decent showers. Breakfast was good too. If you’re on the top floor, you get a good view.
