We had such a lovely time and would happily come back. The harbour views, with boats and birds constantly passing, were a treat, and town and the beach are both just a two-minute walk away. The place has kept some charming 1960s touches, which make it feel unique, though adding a few more would be nice. The welcome at reception was probably the friendliest I've ever had, and they brought a wonderful breakfast right to our room.

You wake up to the sea here, and that view is priceless. The hotel is in a sensational spot, which is what you’re paying for in the end. My room seemed to have had some partial updates, but the place still feels stuck in the 60s or 70s. It was clean, and the breakfast buffet was okay.

The room was gorgeous, full of light and with beautiful views, and breakfast was so good and generous that I couldn’t finish it. The location was perfect too. Before I even arrived, I had a problem getting there from Brussels: the bus stopped five miles from Breskens because there was no replacement driver for the last stretch, which would have meant waiting an hour. I called the hotel on a whim, and Ayesha, who I think is the manager, came to pick me up. She was delightful. Every part of my stay was a pleasure. I highly recommend it!

The sunsets were great, and we saw more ship traffic than ever before. It was easy to catch the ferry to Vlissingen and walk into the village for restaurants or groceries. There’s no restaurant at the hotel, but the breakfast makes up for that. Lovely dog-friendly place.

We’ve stayed twice and plan to return. The welcome was great, the rooms were nice, and breakfast was very good. Parking was easy too. Our salon room had a kitchenette and big picture windows, one facing the Schelde river towards Vlissingen, the other over Breskens.
