It’s a beautiful spot, but we found it hard to feel welcome. Conversations with the host always left us feeling as though she was doing us a favor by letting us check in. At checkout, she seemed worried that we hadn’t paid, even though we had. The breakfast was below average, not even at the level of some three-star hotels. The electric car charger didn’t work, despite costing us 10 EUR and assurances that it should. We were also in the most expensive room, so the stay felt pretty underwhelming. We still managed to have a good time, almost in spite of how we were treated. With adjusted expectations, it could be a decent place to get away from the city.

We spent Saturday evening around the big table with the whole family, and also took a boat trip down the river. It was an excellent outing, give it a try. The place itself is lovely to spend time in, with a very nice interior and great, well-equipped rooms. You can’t go wrong here!

We arrived early for check-in, at 13:00, and weren’t let in, so we had to wait outside in the cold. The photos on booking.com look better than the actual experience, though once inside, the rooms were perfectly clean and the monument was designed and decorated really well.

Even during COVID times, there was plenty to see within the hotel itself. We had a fabulous stay, with all the style, luxury, and comfort we could ask for. The hospitality and customer service were warm, and we had a wonderful time. We’ll be back!

A calm escape from the world, though not suitable for children. The location is amazing, the place and room are lovely, breakfast was good, and the hosts were friendly. Highly recommended.
