Summio Park Aquadelta

It was really great! We were 21 people staying in the houses for two nights, and it worked out to about €60 per person. The rooms were nice, the beds okay, and the houses were clean. The price was so cheap.

We stayed in two adjoining houses with family just before Christmas. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. The park was clean and well kept, with a great pool, indoor playground, mini golf and games room. The only snag was the cooking setup: just tiny microwave combo ovens in the houses. Luckily, none of our planned meals needed a regular oven. The surrounding area is beautiful and well worth visiting.

Some staff were very helpful in sorting out problems, and a few deserve the 2024 award for best customer service. The restaurant's food was decent, though the same dishes varied in quality from one day to the next. The park is beautiful, and the northwest playground was a great spot with our two-year-old when it was quiet. Albert Heijn in Bruinisse is within walking distance, which could help keep food costs down if you have the cookware to prepare it. Those positives don't outweigh the health and safety problems we encountered. We were two adults with a two-year-old in a six-person cottage. It was supposedly cleaned only a few hours before we arrived, but the bathroom was grimy, there were cobwebs on the stairs, and a used nose spray was under a sofa cushion. There was rubbish on the 50 cm front lawn and the driveway. Some glasses were missing even to match the number of beds, and the cookware consisted of a wok, a small saucepan and a large stewpot. The bathtub leaked, the doorbell didn't work, and neither did the electric heating stove. Some of the bed linen had bloodstains. The bedrooms were cramped, with the beds pushed right against the radiator, and the sockets weren't childproof. The garden net was missing, though the neighbours had them to stop children falling into the pond around the house. We only managed to get one after a neighbour left. The shop was expensive, as you might expect at a resort, but all the cucumbers were moldy. It sold no sausage or other meat, and there were no towels, despite the swimming pool. Half the locker keys at the pool had lost their wristbands, and another quarter were barely hanging on. The pool footbath had no water, so sand, soil and other dirt got into the children's pool.

We booked through Airbnb for three people, and the listing showed towels and bed sheets. None were provided. When I asked for them, they were handed over without any mention of an extra charge, but later we were billed €30. The host was dismissive and unhelpful, and wouldn't take responsibility. It felt like a scam, so I've escalated the issue to Airbnb. This was misleading and unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend Summio Parcs, especially if clear communication and honesty matter to you.
