NH Bussum Jan Tabak

We’ve stayed here several times, and this visit was great as well. The breakfast buffet is a highlight, and the restaurant and bar are worth mentioning too, with a cozy feel and good food and drinks. The hotel is comfortable, and the staff and service are great. We plan to return. Thanks to the whole team.

The location works perfectly for my commute, with public transport right outside, including buses to nearby areas and Naarden Bussum train station. Staff are really friendly, and there’s a supermarket a short walk away. Onsite snacks and drinks are available with self scanners if you want something in the evening.

The rooms were clean and functional, with what I needed for a short stay, but they felt pretty average. They’re fine for a few days, though not especially comfortable or luxurious, and anyone looking for modern design or high end comfort may find them underwhelming. What worked best for me was the convenient location, which made it easy to get around, see the area, and reach nearby attractions, shops, and public transport. The staff were also friendly, polite, and helpful from check-in through the rest of my stay, and helped make the atmosphere welcoming. For the price, the hotel is acceptable, especially given the location and service, though room quality and amenities could be better. It’s a solid option if you want a well placed stay with nice staff and reasonable prices. I’d consider coming back for a short trip if the price stays competitive.

We chose the cheapest room and wound up on the second floor, looking out over the roof of something below, even though we’d requested a top floor room and two twin beds. The location and parking are why I’d still return, especially since the parking can fit a van with no height limit. The room also had a refrigerator, firm beds, a nice comforter, large towels, hot water, a good shower, soap, and a hot pot with coffee and tea. There were some drawbacks: we could hear people upstairs, the bath could have been cleaner, and there was no washcloth. The window lock was broken, and the plastic sill made a lot of noise all night when it rained.
