XO Hotel Inner

The staff were kind and ready to help, and the hotel was comfortable. Its location made getting around easy: after two days in Amsterdam, I took day trips to Den Haag, Delft, and Utrecht by bus and via Amsterdam Zuid.

I’ve stayed at a second XO hotel in Amsterdam now, and would come back. It’s clean and fresh, with friendly staff and a great location. The double room was pretty small, but I only needed it for sleeping. Our triple room, on the other hand, had loads of space.

The location is great and the staff were very nice, but I had a horrible stay and had to cancel. They wouldn’t refund anything, which was frustrating, and I don’t think the price is worth it. The room looked as though the previous guest had only just left. It was tiny and dirty, with old carpet and hair all over the bed, pillows, carpet, desk, chair, closet, and shower. The toilet was dirty, the toilet paper had already been used, and there was no top sheet or mattress protector. Public transport is everywhere, so you can get to a much cleaner, nicer hotel. I can’t recommend this place. Save your time and money and book elsewhere.

The breakfast buffet was decent, and the hotel was clean and well located. Staff were fine, though nothing special. We’d asked clearly for one double bed, but got two singles pushed together with no explanation. The mattresses felt thin, and my request for another pillow was ignored. We also arrived an hour before check-in, when our room was already ready, but were asked to pay €5 for early access. That didn’t feel very customer-friendly. Functional, but it misses the small details that make a difference.
