The food looked great on the plates and tasted delicious. I only visited the restaurant, where the decor was tasteful and modern. There was a good range of menu options for different occasions, from soups and mains to sides, children's dishes, and extras. The waiter was polite and discreet. The lighting was dim, which suited me since I'm sensitive to bright lights. I left satisfied.

The chicken satay was too raw for my liking, so I sent it back. A minute later it came back with a message that the chef said it was fine. I'm not going to eat raw chicken, and I'm not used to a cook deciding how raw my food should be.

The waitress was very nice, but the restaurant closes at 8 on a Saturday. The rooms need renovation, and the bathroom was dirty. They advertise free WiFi on Booking, but there's no signal in the rooms.

The location worked perfectly for us, with rural walking trails starting right outside. We really enjoyed our extended stay at De Moerse Hoeve. The staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful, and they kept up with every request. Breakfast was very good, and on our last day they arranged an early breakfast and packed goodies for our early drive to the airport. Our room was always clean and had everything we needed, though it wasn't luxurious. The mattress was a little soft but manageable. The WiFi in the rooms can be spotty.

The food was good, and there was an excellent range of beers. The menus are only in Dutch, though that didn't matter much when I was ordering a beer. If the weather's nice, sit outside.
