The brasserie was good value, and they took dietary requests seriously. We struggled to find healthy food in the nearby village, so eating there worked well for us. The hotel is tucked into the forest and really did feel like a relaxing little holiday, even though we were only stopping for one night. They even lend out boots for walks if you haven’t come prepared. I loved that the bedroom window opened, which helped with my breathing problem. Our view looked out at a high tension tower, but it didn’t bother us overnight. The place was so clean that nothing felt dusty or sticky, and there was care in the little details. The lounge was cosy too. When I was awake at 3:30am and didn’t want to wake my man, I sat there and the staff kindly brought me tea for free. There was fruit, sweets, and candlelight as well. On Sunday, you can stay in bed until 12pm. I went for a lovely two-hour walk after sunrise, had breakfast, then went back for a snooze without having to rush off. We were also lucky to be there when the hotel was the meeting point for the Hel van de Heuvelrug bike race, with routes of 180, 145, 100, 80, 60 and 35 km. I’d love to come back. A lovely, peaceful stay, and the price was very affordable. The room had a huge double bed, plus tea, coffee and slippers. We slept really well. The reception staff were professional too. ❤️

The €5 voucher for skipping room service sounded like a thoughtful thank-you, but I found out it was only usable at the restaurant, which was closed that Monday. That felt disingenuous. A voucher guests could actually use, or no voucher at all, would have been better. The hotel is in a great spot, facing a lovely forest, with lots of outdoor space and birdsong. The room and bathroom were both small, and the bathroom was just a shower and toilet. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. We skipped servicing during our two-night stay, as we always do.

I’d booked this for a company founders’ retreat and only really expected a bed for the night. It turned out much better than that. The rooms were beautiful, the beds comfortable, and everyone we met on staff was wonderful. Reception was especially efficient and friendly. Chi the bartender deserves a special mention for going out of his way to make our last night feel special. Great work, everyone!

A very clean, pleasant place, and they even had little gifts for the dog. Breakfast was minimal, though. There’s no noise cancellation, and despite the dog-friendly policy they charged us 15€ for the pet. Dogs were only allowed in the lounge area.
