Roompot Kustpark Egmond Aan Zee

We liked the dune reserve near the park and found lots of great cycling routes. It’s a quiet, smaller park compared with some other Roompot parks we’ve visited. The layout gives each bungalow plenty of privacy.

The cabins are spacious and have everything you need. I love this place. Bikes are the best way to get to the beach, and you can rent them here. I paid €50 a week. That adds up for a family of four, but I’d still recommend it. They’re quality Gazelle bikes in great condition. There’s a clean swimming pool, and the park shop is affordable and well stocked. Internet is free, though I found it often went offline. Still handy.

We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. The houses were clean, we slept well, and everyone was very dog friendly. The pool was wonderfully warm, and the kids enjoyed the nice playground and Kids Club. The shower had a little mold, and the Restaurant prices were expensive. Bingo night’s translation wasn’t very good, but the helpers were so friendly and translated whenever needed.

I’m not usually into busy holiday parks, so I arrived with some misgivings, hoping to stay one night in my campervan. The park seemed busy and successful, but getting help was a struggle. Reception was a five-minute walk away and closed when I got there. The one helpful staff member was serving in the restaurant. He said he didn’t understand the booking system, but would check with his colleague in the kitchen. Five minutes later he came back and said nobody could help me, and I should return in half an hour. We went looking for somewhere more welcoming.
