Hotel Piet Hein Eek

The staff made me feel welcome, and I really liked the spacious room, tasteful artistic decor, and very comfortable bed. I haven't tried the food or breakfast, though plenty of locals come in to eat, so I imagine it’s a good option. For my visit, the location was ideal because my son’s apartment is about a 10-minute walk away. It’s also close to Philips park, where I love going for a run when I’m in Eindhoven. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🙏🏻

The breakfast buffet was small, but it had the basics we needed to start the day. We were really pleased with our one-night stay for an event. I booked the day before and got 10% off, though it still seemed good value at the regular price. Check-in was easy, and the friendly staff walked us to the room. They lent us a steamer since there are no irons, and now I’m converted. The rooms looked as design-focused as we expected 😆, and the bed and deep, fluffy pillows were so comfortable we slept like the dead. We got back around 22:00 after the kitchen had closed, and since our event hadn’t served food, we were starving. The chef kindly warmed up quiches for us, which was more than we expected. A few items were charged twice, but they fixed it quickly and politely, without any fuss.

The service really stood out, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon. If you love design, this hotel is beautiful. The rooms feel carefully put together, with attention to the little things, and having Aesop amenities was a nice touch. I think the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever tried, and you can buy it in the showroom.

It’s a cool place and definitely an experience. I loved the interesting design, especially the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. The shop is nice, though rather packed, so leave yourself some time. I didn’t try breakfast, but the buffet looked limited in choice. Maybe that wouldn’t matter if the quality is good. I’d booked lunch and got confirmation, but there wasn’t a spot for me in the main room, so I sat alone in the next room. It gave me plenty of privacy, though I missed the atmosphere. The Jasmin Tea, Tomato Soup (the bread!!👌🏼), and Bitterballen were very good. It was busy, so ordering took a while, but the staff stayed very friendly, and I respect that. Getting to the city center takes some time, and I couldn’t find a suitable connection while carrying a heavy bag. There also isn’t really room to store luggage.
