Good service, a nice room, and a good breakfast buffet. It’s very close to the trainstation and city centre, and I’d stay again. Traffic noise came through a bit, and the bathroom wasn’t great. Showering in the small bathtub was a challenge, and the toilet seat kept falling onto our backs. Still, we had a nice stay.

The room was dark and dirty, with visible dirt in the bathtub when I arrived, and there was no sound insulation. I could hear every conversation and street noise, which made sleeping difficult. The breakfast was below average too, with industrial, non-fresh juices and nothing memorable. I stayed just one night, and they didn’t clean my room at all. They said it was because they were “environmentally friendly,” which felt like a ridiculous excuse. Parking was advertised on the website, but there wasn’t any, so I had to use Q-Park instead. Hotel Leonardo – Eindhoven, 1/10. Poor cleanliness, misleading information, bad sleep, and weak service. Avoid if you can.

The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is the good breakfast service and the friendly people working there, though the choices were quite limited. At the end, a young girl at reception asked for feedback and seemed attentive and concerned about how our stay had gone. The start was promising too, with a warm welcome, but our room wasn’t properly cleaned: there were bits of food on the table, marks on the walls, and silverfish. The rooms are very small. I reported the insects to a bald man on staff, but he laughed in our faces and asked, “What do you want me to do?” That attitude is unacceptable for a four-star hotel, and the price doesn’t feel justified. If you only need a place to sleep and can live with imperfections, it might do. For comfort and a decent service standard, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The whole stay was horrible. On arrival, the receptionist said she couldn’t find my booking, then was rude and asked why I hadn’t told them I’d arrive late. In the room, the vault didn’t work, and after two days the key card stopped working too. I went to reception three times before a guy came to change the battery, and I had to keep returning to tell them it still wasn’t working. The room wasn’t cleaned regularly, and neither was the garbage taken care of. The day before checkout, I asked several times for the receipt and got a rude response that they could only provide it after checkout. When I checked out, the receptionist said he was new and his colleague was sick, so he couldn’t help. Imagine hearing that at checkout in a four-star place. After several requests and wasting a couple of hours, he gave me invoice information without a unique invoice number. He said his colleague would come after 7am and send the invoice. I don’t know what else to expect from this hotel.
