Hotel ten Cate

The bathroom was the exception, but the room itself was basic, old and worn out. The sheets weren't clean, and there was a lot of traffic noise. It's overpriced and really underwhelming, so I can't make sense of the high rating. Wouldn't recommend it.

We had a nice stay, and the restaurant was great. They missed our snack order, but made up for it with free drinks. The windows were a real problem, though, as it was hard to see through them. A note said the coating had been damaged during cleaning.

Being near Wildlands and having breakfast were the only good parts for us. Our room was old and very basic, with dirt and marks all over the wallpaper. We couldn't tell when booking which rooms had AC, and ours didn't. It felt overpriced and disappointing, so I don't understand the high rating. We also ate dinner in the restaurant. It was overpriced, not tasty at all, and the service was chaotic. Wouldn't recommend it.

The receptionists were welcoming, and the hotel had a great atmosphere. Breakfast offered a good range of food, though I would've preferred more fresh fruit and vegetables. That's just my taste. Our room faced the main street, so it could get noisy at times. A very bright light used to illuminate the hotel was also visible from the room, but thankfully it was switched off around midnight. There was no kettle or fridge in the room. It's a nice hotel, and I'd come back if I needed to.
