U Parkhotel

The room was comfortable, modern and minimalist, with large windows looking over the university campus. Staff, who I assume were all students, were welcoming and very friendly. The restaurant food was good, especially breakfast, which had lots to choose from, though the selection was the same every morning. I’d recommend U Parkhotel for visiting Twente Uni or Enschede, even with Enschede an hour’s walk away.

The rooms were chilly and never really warmed up. It wasn't just mine, all my friends had the same problem, and on that alone I'd give it two or three stars. But the kitchen and service staff were lovely, and they helped a lot with my allergies. Thanks to them I didn't have any health problems, so I’m giving four stars.

I checked into The UPark Hotel just 15 minutes ago and found there was no bathtub, even though I'd booked a Panorama room with one. Management reacted very badly to the problem and said it was the hotel's fault but they had no solution. The reception staff were rude too. I paid almost €180 and got careless management and a bad attitude, without the quality I'd asked for. I want my money back.

The location feels like a park, right in the green middle of the UT campus, with a few shops nearby, including a grocery store and Subway restaurant. The hotel interior looks great and freshly renovated. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with big bathrooms and all the amenities needed, a large TV and a panoramic view. There are only a few rooms on each floor, which adds to the comfort. Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice in a spacious dining hall, and the parking lot had room for all the cars.
