Van Der Valk Hotel Enschede

The room was really spacious and comfortable, and the lobby is lovely for hanging out. It seems like a nice concept for a family getaway. We arrived at night, when everything looked beautiful. In the morning, it was clear the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. There was hair from the previous guest, dust in the corners, and dirty grout between the tiles.

I was here for a meeting and had a small lunch beforehand, which tasted good. I didn't use the rooms, so I can't comment on them. The lobby and restaurant looked attractive, though, so I assume the rooms are up to the same standard.

The building is beautiful, and the restaurant and bar feel cosy. There's also a small swimming pool and saunas. The hotel is outside the city centre, though, and the rooms look out onto commercial buildings, which is an awful view. I had a terrible experience with one receptionist, who showed no sign of being service minded.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with a huge selection of fresh, delicious food, and it was worth every cent. Free parking also made the stay stress-free. The rooms were spacious, modern and impeccably clean, with a comfortable place to relax. The location was perfect, easy to reach and close to whatever you might need. For the facilities and service, I thought the price was more than fair. I just got back from a fantastic stay at the Van der Valk Hotel Enschede, and it's my go-to in Enschede. I can't recommend it highly enough.
