Fantastic view, and a super friendly host. The cottage has absolutely everything, from a beautiful bathroom to a wonderful bed. Gorgeous, clean, lovely, amazing... I could keep going. I honestly can’t think of one downside. We’ll definitely be back.

After a walk or bike ride through beautiful South Limburg, the terrace and large garden are a lovely place to unwind, with a fabulous view. Anya and Frans gave us a warm welcome and have made De Witte Lelie feel like a little paradise. The apartments are beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. Highly recommended!

I spent 10 weeks here while working in Heerlen. The apartments were nice and clean, and the beds were wonderful. It’s peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and a great starting point for bike rides through the hilly countryside.

De Witte Lelie in Mechelen is a lovely place to spend a few days in the green, rolling hills of South Limburg. Songbirds provide a clear, sweet soundtrack in the background. The guesthouse has the feel of a 4-star hotel, as owner Frans Wagemans says. Does that sound a bit immodest, even pretentious? It really isn't. He and his partner, writer and painter Anya Niewierra, understand hospitality. This friendly Limburger is happy to do whatever it takes, and his warm enthusiasm soon makes even the grumpiest, most skeptical guest feel at home in his villa.
