Renata was on her own at reception with a rush of customers whose flights had just been cancelled, but she kept smiling and lifted everyone’s spirits during a stressful time. Her service was 10/10. She deserves a promotion if she isn’t a manager already. I’d return just to be around that kind of positive energy. Thanks so much, Renata, from me and my other half. The staff were the highlight, especially Renata. During our work trip, she quickly fixed an administrative error and clearly explained what had happened and how she’d sort it out. It took a lot of stress off us first thing in the morning. Thanks again, Renata. Bastion is lucky to have you. The location is good, the shuttle is really useful, and the rooms are decent too.

The room was very hot when we arrived, with the thermostat set to 25 degrees, and there was no kettle or tea, just a coffee machine. Leftover food crumbs were beside the bed, and the flimsy mattress topper had blood spots on it. Its cover slipped off easily whenever we turned in our sleep. The outlets were oddly placed too, including one in the middle of the headboard, so we couldn’t charge our phones on the nightstand overnight.

Bring your own lunch. They didn’t serve it, even though they’d promised they would. Some employees were rude and made fun of us. I wouldn’t recommend this kind of hotel. I stayed here on 18-19 May, room 37.
