Vrijrijck Vakantieparken – Ermelo

The house smelled strongly of damp when we arrived. Opening all the windows and doors helped a little, but after we'd been out most of the next day, the smell was back by evening. By morning we felt awful and had started coughing a lot, especially our two children. Looking around the house, including under the beds and in the corners, we found several moisture absorbers and multiple patches of black fungus on the walls. We'd been looking forward to a great family summer holiday because the photos and reviews sounded good. But on Wednesday, when we tried to reach someone at the park, reception was closed and nobody answered our calls, messages, or emails. We decided to leave and stay at a hotel because we felt unwell in the house. The park didn't call or offer help the next day, so we cut the holiday short and went home. After months of emails back and forth trying to get the park to understand what happened and accept our claim, we got no understanding from the Manager at all. The claim was handled very unprofessionally. I can't recommend Vrijrijck Vakantieparken. The photos didn't reflect the condition of the house we were given, and no one should have to stay in such an unhealthy place.

Very quiet accommodation, with nothing but birds to hear, and the forest is very close.

I enjoyed my stay at Vrijrijck vakantiepark. It was clean, comfortable, and easy to get to. I'd love to visit again soon.
