Hotel Restaurant Oostergoo

The ambience was great, the wine list was good, and most of our meal was lovely, though the chicken was dry. The staff were very nice but seemed quite junior. It took a long time to get the menus and order drinks, then the kitchen was clearly busy and our main courses took two hours. Maybe it was just an off night for service, because otherwise I’d highly recommend it.

The staff and kitchen made the stay for me. The food was perfect, the staff were smiling and helpful, and breakfast on the terrace by the water was lovely. I’d come back anytime. The historic building has very thin walls, so you can literally hear your neighbors breathing, and the nearby church nearly killed me. I’d normally rate it much lower for that. The room was small, but comfortable, and it was all clean and otherwise normal.

We were delighted to find a room at this charming, slightly old-school hotel for our short two-day stay for a family wedding. It’s right in the heart of town, by the marina. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was excellent, and breakfast set us up well for the day.

The waterfront atmosphere was breathtaking, and the restaurant was surprisingly good. We held our team offsite here, and I was pleasantly surprised again when I paid the bill. It’s a very cozy hotel, with simple but very clean rooms. Everything you need is there, and that’s about it.
