Het Verscholen Dorp

The bedrooms are spacious, and the bathroom and shower are really big and nice. The beds are decent, though not the best. There's also a nice little outdoor seating area where the roof keeps you dry even when it rains.

It's close to town and local supermarkets, but far enough away to stay quiet. One thing I didn't see mentioned online is that only one car per family is allowed on site, though there's some parking outside. Reception is staffed only until 5 pm. There's no lifeguard at the pool, and there is a laundry area on site if you need it.

A quiet, beautiful place with everything close by, including a really good Italian restaurant just around the corner. There's bike rental, a heated pool, and a small playground. The reception and other facilities were modern and clean. The bungalows are just the right size and have cute little gardens.

Only one car is allowed on site at a time, which could be a problem depending on your situation. As for safety, the pool is open from 9 am to 9 pm but has no lifeguard, and getting over the gate or wall doesn't seem too difficult. In our bungalow, the wooden boards on the bunk bed felt weak, and someone could fall through them. There are a tennis court and two pools, one large and one small children's pool with a fake duck. The living and kitchen area was a nice size, but there was only a microwave, the stove wasn't working properly, and some light bulbs didn't work. The site fixed these issues. The patio roof was also a little too short, so rain would get on you if you sat outside.
