Hotel de Rousch

I was genuinely sad to leave this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and had plenty of amenities, and breakfast was delicious, right down to the freshly squeezed orange juice. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in town.

It was hard to find a hotel that welcomes dogs, but this one definitely does. My old boy even got spoiled with treats. The location is great and easy to get to.

Check-in and check-out were really easy with the online option. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions. We had a great stay.

The room was fairly spacious, with good facilities, soundproofing, tea and coffee making things, and free parking. But the air conditioning seemed to be just a fan and didn’t really cool anything. The room was so warm at night that we took the duvet off before going to sleep. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the next day. The bin stayed full and the tea and coffee weren’t replenished. They left only one clean towel set for two people and one toilet roll outside the door. Is that how a four-star hotel treats its guests? Breakfast was adequate, but there was only one staff member in the kitchen doing everything. She had to refill the coffee machine’s milk and run back to cook scrambled eggs. No one else cleared the dirty plates or wiped the tables, so I had to clean up another guest’s crumbs myself. Technicians working at the hotel also ate their own breakfast and read the paper in the breakfast room alongside the guests. That seemed rather strange, as most hotels have a staff room for that. I don’t expect this from a four-star hotel.
