Our cottage was very clean on arrival and well equipped, and the park is kept in good shape, including the landscaping. Set right on the IJsselmeer, it has four private beaches in little coves, with cozy seating and a reasonable amount of privacy. Staff dealt with complaints quickly and satisfactorily. The drawback for us was that some facilities were only partly available, perhaps because of staff shortages and sometimes low occupancy. The restaurant was basically open for drinks and ice cream, with takeaway fries only on Mondays and Fridays. The beach club wasn’t open at all, so bring something of your own to the beach. The reception and bar staff who were there were very friendly, though sometimes inexperienced.

The house itself was great, but cleanliness was only okay. The flies were the biggest problem: there were swarms around the park, making it impossible to go for a walk or enjoy being outdoors. The bakery items you could order were disappointing too, so from the second day we got our own rolls and croissants elsewhere.

Europarc Hindeloopen worked perfectly for our group of eight cyclists and swimmers, who needed a convenient spot near the IJsselmeer for a swim marathon. The accommodation was very good and reasonably priced, and there was plenty to do. We had a great time and hope to return next year with a bigger group. Thanks for all the care and service.

We were there with family for the opening weekend. The houses were new, and the park was quiet and very nice. It’s a new, luxurious holiday park right by the IJsselmeer, in a perfect location.

These luxury bungalows are a different feel from camping, and not quite as charming, but they do the job. It’s definitely more expensive, though still close to the sea and near enough to Amsterdam for a day trip.
