The bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the setting among the trees and birds made it easy to properly unwind. We found the hosts incredibly welcoming, with some really thoughtful touches too. If you love nature and walking or cycling but don't know the Holterberg yet, this is a great place to stay. The pool wasn't open, which was a shame, though the weather had turned unexpectedly lovely after being cold before, so it was completely understandable.

We love walking, and it was so easy to head straight onto the trails from this spot in the woods. The views are beautiful, too. Seth and Alice made us feel at home from the start, and breakfast was very good. We had a wonderful stay at the Engelse Kamp.

Being back at the Engelse Kamp for a few days was just what we needed. Alice and Seth were so hospitable, the breakfast was fantastic, and we loved the cottage and garden. It was a real chance to switch off from all the daily rush.

The cottage is lovely and has all the comforts, with its own separate space away from the main house and nature all around. We went for a nice walk, then stopped at the pancake house nearby on foot. After that, beer in hand, we relaxed in the sun on the patio beside the pool. We enjoyed it and will be back soon.

Just outside Holten, De Engelse Kamp has a lovely setting. We enjoyed the quiet and the views, and our hosts were very welcoming. Highly recommended!
