The Florian Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, WorldHotels Crafted

The staff seemed kind, but when I asked questions I mostly got a polite no. Check-in was slow, and the food was a quick buffet with only a small Coke and no beer. I wondered if that was because my flight had been cancelled. There’s no hotel shuttle, so you have to sort out public transport yourself, which didn’t make this convenient for the airport. Breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m., with no packed lunch option, even though the hotel knew my flight was at 7 a.m. and I’d miss my right. The room was too dark, with limited light and very dark decor. It was acceptable for a quick stay after the cancellation, but I wouldn’t return because it wasn’t convenient for me.

The bus station nearby has direct service to the airport, which made the location very convenient. Check-in was easy, and the staff were welcoming. The clean room, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and shower with good pressure and temperature made a nice first impression. At night, though, the air conditioning didn’t work properly and the room got uncomfortably warm. The staff brought a fan, which I appreciated, but it only helped somewhat. A pleasant stay overall, with a few drawbacks.

The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. Staff were extremely accommodating, and I got more than I expected for what I paid. The place is a bit quirky in a good way, with a game room for air hockey, Foosball, and Ms. Pac Man, plus an indoor playground for little ones.

There are only a few restaurants nearby, and the hotel doesn’t have its own shuttle. From Schiphol, the bus costs 4.50 Euros each way and takes about four minutes. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The room has an industrial chic look but is exceptionally well designed, with great beds and very little noise. Plenty of hot water and strong pressure too. Great value for the money.
