We felt right at home here. The hosts were really friendly, and there was a cozy shared balcony. Our room had all the useful basics too, including a mini fridge, coffee machine, and kettle.

The welcome was very friendly, and we had a spacious, comfortable room upstairs on the first floor with its own bathroom. A small fridge, TV, and tea and coffee setup were all there. The blackout curtains and comfortable bed meant we slept really well. In the morning we used the breakfast voucher at D'oude Waegh and had a delicious meal. Excellent.

Hooge Noot today, by coincidence. I was staying across the street and couldn't make it to a toilet, so I knocked on the first house I saw and asked to use theirs. A friendly gentleman let me in because it was Hooge Noot, and the toilet couldn't keep up with my size (2m by 140cm). Then the lady of the house swore at me and kicked me out. I tried to thank her politely, but she didn't take that well. What a shame. JEROEN RIKKELS 🤔

The room has been furnished with care, and guests can also use the terrace. Piet and Rita have looked after me so well. The town is around a three-minute walk away, with breakfast at a restaurant just around the corner. This was my third family visit to Hoorn. We enjoy its old-fashioned feel, the flower baskets hanging from the lampposts along the pedestrian area, and the Wednesday market. Go and see it for yourselves. I also spent part of the holiday at Keukenhof Gardens, which was amazing!

A lovely place run by very nice people. It’s handy for the town center, shops, the waterfront, and the train station, so it’s well worth staying overnight. We didn’t mind having breakfast outside, just around the corner.
