EuroParcs Bad Hoophuizen

We drove all the way from the UK for a family break at EuroParcs Bad Hoophuizen, and the trip was well worth it. It's one of the best parks we've visited, with spacious grounds that are peaceful and beautifully kept. Check-in was easy despite our late arrival. The reception team had everything arranged already and were really friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. There was lots for the family to do, including the nice beach and a great swimming pool. The calm atmosphere made it easy to unwind and spend time together. We made wonderful memories and would love to come back. Highly recommend!

There was no air conditioning, which was the downside for us. Still, we had a pleasant, relaxing stay, and security seemed good. The camp has a small market, swimming in both the pool and lake, and activities for kids. You can get around on foot or by bike. Harderwijk is 7 km away, and the Hulshorst bus stop is 3.5 km away. The living room and kitchen are together, and we had all the kitchen utensils we needed to make meals. The master bedroom was comfortable, and the children liked their room, though we sometimes heard noises from the water pump. We didn't use the third room because its ceiling was low and it had two beds.

The place was extremely dirty. There were spiders everywhere, the floors hadn't been cleaned, and the pillows and sofa were dirty. The bathroom wasn't working, and the staff were no help at all. We showed them photos of the house's poor condition and they refused to move us to another booking. They said they'd send cleaners right away, but no one came. We were terribly disappointed with our stay. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself!

We liked the indoor pool and the kids' playgrounds, and there was a wide range of activities. The nature around the park is beautiful, with good paths for walking and cycling. There's also a pleasant restaurant and café overlooking the water. We spent a full week at EuroParcs Bad Hoophuizen and loved it. The setting right on Veluwemeer has lovely views and a peaceful feel. Our chalet, Cube Elite 6, was modern, very clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The park felt organized and safe for families, and the friendly staff made check-in quick and easy. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay surrounded by nature in the heart of the Netherlands. We'll be back!
