B&B De Kaagse Boer

Kaagdorp is a little treasure in the Kaager Platsen. De Kaagse Boer has a few lovely guest rooms alongside its active livestock farm and cheese dairy. Just keep in mind the rooms aren’t soundproof, so be considerate and keep noise down for the neighbors.

The fresh breakfasts were well made every day, and you can moor your sloop right at their jetty. We’re back for our third week-long stay, and once again had a warm welcome, a lovely room, a clean bed, and a spacious bathroom. The family running the B&B really adds to the stay. It’s great to get a firsthand look at how a farm works. If you’re not arriving by boat, the island ferry runs 24/7.

We had four lovely rooms for a two-day training, and every one was exceptionally clean. The owner greeted us warmly and showed us around. When colleagues staying at a nearby hotel were unhappy with their rooms, one call to the B&B got the remaining rooms arranged for them, plus breakfast with us and an extra breakfast as well. The service was top-notch, especially since the hosts were leaving for vacation that night or morning. Thanks so much for having us. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

It’s a calm spot on a small island, with friendly, helpful hosts, a clean room, and a delicious breakfast each morning. Cycling in the area is great. By car or train, it’s also easy to reach places like Amsterdam, Keukenhof Gardens, the North Sea, Utrecht, and Alkmaar.
