Camping Marvilla Parks Kaatsheuvel

The accommodation itself is nice, but the soundproofing is awful, so you can hear everything happening outside. The WiFi is shockingly bad. When it lets you connect, that might be once an hour for two minutes, enough for a couple of messages at most. It was decent in some ways, but if reliable internet or not hearing every move your neighbors make matters to you, I'd look elsewhere.

I didn't enjoy my stay here. The cabin was freezing, with just one heater in the main room and none in the bedrooms. One window wouldn't shut properly, so a draft kept coming in. The shower didn't work 😕. We complained about the lack of heat, and although they said someone would come out, nobody came to check. The location wasn't great either. There's nowhere nearby, and the supermarket is very expensive, poorly stocked, and has little variety.

The restaurant serves fried burgers and schnitzel, and we guessed even the pancake was made from mix. Seventeen euros or more for a schnitzel could be fair if it were made with care. Same with the burger and its fried patty. These dishes are so easy to make with fresh ingredients. The road to the park has been newly built, but it's very narrow and has high speed bumps. The park entrance and exit are extremely small, even though the place is newly built. They have plenty of space, so why make the roads so narrow?

The campsite is in a handy spot, close to lots of pretty towns. The sand dunes and excellent restaurant, De Roestelburg, are just a five-minute walk away. A great campsite.
