We enjoyed the peaceful setting and tasty food at this family hotel, which is very close to Giethoorn. There weren’t many tourists while we were there, so it felt especially quiet, and we had a pleasant stay. The room could have been prepared more carefully: the coffee machine had no coffee, the shampoo and shower gel containers were empty, and the ashtray was dirty. It seemed not quite ready for new guests. Better attention to these details would make the place even nicer.

We asked for a taxi at checkout because we had no car or driving licence and the nearest train station was 17 km away. A guy had given us a lift to the hotel, and we thought we might have to walk back, which would take three hours since there was no taxi. When the man at the desk heard about it, he kindly drove us to the station. We couldn’t have asked for more, and that help gives us a reason to come back in summer. Thank you for such a lovely stay and for making us feel so welcome. 10 out of 10, 100% 😍🥰 We came for a weekend of privacy and nature, and loved the hotel’s atmosphere and interior. The black, coffee, and beige colours looked just right. The staff deserve a special mention too. They were wonderful and made the place feel so much like a family business. ❤️

Right in the national park, it was so peaceful and beautiful! The manager on site was attentive and understanding, and gave us great tips about the area. The restaurant was wow, one of our best dinners, with a glass of wine, and breakfast was included. Giethoorn is only 18 minutes away and is a must. If you want peace and quiet, this is a great spot. Thanks for our stay!

The three-course meal was delicious, nicely presented, and filling enough, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We stopped in for a bite after a pleasant walk nearby. The restaurant sits in a lovely spot with its own small harbour on the water, and the daytime views should be nice. Parking right there is limited, though there are more spaces within walking distance.

A lovely spot to eat or have a drink, and you can rent a little boat, a kayak, or a SUP board too. Great for spending the morning on the water. If it’s sunny, remember sunscreen.
