Watching nature through those big picture windows was one of our favorite parts, and the views over the IJsel and Kampen are lovely. The houseboat is a perfect spot for a weekend, about a 15-minute walk from Kampen city center and even closer to the train station. It has the basic facilities, though we couldn't quite get the TV to work properly. There are plenty of DVDs, magazines, and games if you're not just enjoying the scenery.

The spiders were the one problem, they seemed to be everywhere. Still, this was probably our best stay in the Netherlands. The place is great, with fresh air, a wonderful view, and everything we needed inside.

We stayed four nights at Ecostay de IJsvogel for our vacation. It's a lovely place, perfectly located about a five-minute walk from the station, and the owner was very kind. Highly recommended!
