De Rozenboom is inside a 17th-century monument on what might be the prettiest street in Leeuwarden, and the view was incredible. I didn’t expect to be so charmed by it. The place was cozy and thoughtfully put together, with extremely fluffy duvets and a super-soft mattress. We spent one whole morning doing nothing, and it was perfect. Breakfast had organic local goodies, and restaurants and shops were just a two-minute walk away. Romantic, peaceful and full of character. I’d book again for a weekend escape, 10/10.

It was honestly more space than I needed on my own, but it’s a beautiful, cozy place to stay. The owners were accommodating, thoughtful and straightforward, and the place was clean and homely. I’d highly recommend it both to solo travelers who like having room and to families.

A fantastic house hotel that looks just like the pictures. The location is really central, yet there was no noise at night. Since you’re alone in the house, you need to call for service, and it was excellent. I recommend it!

Josien made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and her thoughtful, attentive hospitality really stood out. We also loved the fresh, generous breakfast, prepared with care. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic weekend at City Guesthouse De Rozenboom. The apartment is beautifully furnished, full of character, and well equipped, right in Leeuwarden's historic center. We'd happily come back.

I was glad to find De Rozenboom just as enjoyable as my earlier stay at B&B De Roos. Josien takes care of every detail and makes you feel at home, and the breakfast was a lovely start to the day. The apartment is clean, thoughtfully decorated, and fully equipped, with a quiet, comfortable feel despite being right in Leeuwarden's historic center. Everything is an easy walk away. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable base to explore the city.
