Westcord WTC Hotel Leeuwarden

The bed is what I remember most from my stay in early 2020, just as the Covid lockdown was enacted. I was the only guest then, which made it an eerie time, and the restaurant and so on weren’t open. I’ve never slept on a bed that comfortable, even in 5 star hotels, apart from American hotels. Beds here tend to be very hard, which people think is healthy, but my chronic severe back pain keeps me from sleeping on them. They sell their beds, and I’m buying one now. I’m not getting a discount or anything, I just really like the bed. The rest of the room was good too. A great place to stay if you’re in Us Mems city.

The king room was perfect and very clean, and breakfast was tasty. Maaike and her male colleague were polite and friendly, greeting us with a smile and a warm tone. The gym was nice too. A perfect stay for 2 nights.

I stayed for one night back in June. The rooms were spacious and clean. I really appreciated that the restaurant had lactose-free and gluten-free breakfast options, and the staff there were very nice and accommodating.

For €360 for a weekend, it’s hard to understand having to ask at the front desk for cleaning towels and tea glasses. They say they don’t clean the room during a two night stay for sustainability, but it feels like a way for the hotel to save money.
