There's a little beach just outside the apartment, so you can head straight into the IJsselmeer for a swim. The apartment itself is great, with a view over the IJsselmeer.

The Residence Sudersee is inside the Makkum Beach resort, and some of its equipment really needs replacing. It feels like the place is showing its age. The resort itself is lovely, with great holiday homes, and there's a very good selection of rentals for bikes, boats, and other vehicles. The children's program sounds good, though we haven't joined in ourselves yet.

It's a lovely location, though the freshwater brings plenty of mosquitoes. The views were beautiful until the many windmills came into view.

The building has an elevator, which makes it suitable for older people, and the apartments are great for children and dogs too. They're beautifully furnished and comfortable, with magnificent panoramic views of the IJsselmeer.

We'd gladly return with our extended family, grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. It's great accommodation, with plenty of space and excellent amenities.
