The church bells apparently go through the night, which bothered my companion but didn't wake me. I was pretty drunk, to be fair. The room is a lovely little one, up some seriously steep stairs, and the location just off the main square is great. There's a nice bar downstairs where we had a nightcap and a top continental breakfast. Recommended.

A warm welcome and a lovely room in a great spot. It's a beautiful old building, so expect narrow, steep stairs.

The rooms are small and the sound carries poorly between them, which was the downside. Still, the hotel is right in the heart of the city, close to the bell tower with its beautiful clock. Breakfast was good, and there's a lovely bar and restaurant nearby.

Franco the cat was a lovely bonus, and the staff were friendly. Being right in the center of Middelburg makes it a great base for exploring what the city has to offer.
