Suitehotel Posthoorn

We loved the peaceful spot in Monnickendam, with everything in town close by, and the staff were so warm and attentive. We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Hotel de Posthoorn. The Napoleon Bonaparte Suite was a real highlight. It had loads of space, historic charm, lovely decor, and all the modern comforts. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean and elegant, and the details made the room feel special. We had such a memorable stay and would happily return. Thanks for a beautiful visit 💕

The rooms feel genuinely luxurious, and the staff were friendly. I can recommend staying here, but I’d plan to have breakfast elsewhere. Breakfast was the letdown. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry, and the cheese, meats, and bread seemed very low quality, as in earlier review photos. For the price, I expected better. Owners, even average AH cheese and cold cuts, or afbakbroodjes, would have been fine. No need to cut corners there.

We had a really good stay at the Posthoorn hotel @Monickendam. The room was roomy, clean, and felt luxurious, with beds that were comfortably in between firm and soft. The booking price was very reasonable for being so near Amsterdam. We'd gladly stay here again.

The location was fantastic, with loads of great restaurants overlooking the water just a couple of minutes away, and parking was easy. We stayed four nights over Easter last week and everything felt just right. Our suite had lots of room, was very quiet, and looked even better than the photos. The beds were super comfortable, even the sofa bed mattress, which is unusual. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was great. The owners and staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious and generous, with gluten-free options and anything extra we asked for.
