Our family stays here every year, and we call it the longhouse. My husband and I held our wedding reception and party at the Rode schuur back in 2003. Ever since the hotel was built, we've loved coming back with the whole family. It's always a wonderful experience.

The rooms were the good part: nice rooms in a nice hotel. But the service was lacking. We were billed for breakfast for every room, even though that wasn't right. Both nights, music from the restaurant/bar's garden across from our room kept going late. It played until 3am the first night, so I couldn't sleep, and until 1am the second. When we raised it, staff just said they'd speak to the restaurant manager. I felt they could have done more.

The rooms were a good size, and we had two lovely nights here.

The view is nice, and there are enough parking spaces. It's a great Hotel. The one thing I didn't like, as others have mentioned, was that the toilet has no door.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms big and nice, and the hotel is in a good location. Breakfast was good too. The bathroom had a strange smell, which I reported to reception. When I asked for a small ventilator, the friendly lady at reception brought one right away. Nothing else to complain about.
