Holt Hotel

I booked five nights for July 2026 in 2024 at a confirmed price of €540. Nine months later, they contacted me claiming there'd been a "system error" and demanded more than three times the original price because they had "just realized" there were festivities in the city then. It took them nine months to notice? Unbelievable. I didn't reply within three days to their insulting offer of 10% off the inflated price, and they cancelled my reservation without my consent. It felt completely disrespectful, as if they didn't care about their guests. This so-called “hotel” is more like a pub if you look closely, and the way they handled this felt dishonest and unethical. Save yourself the stress and headache. Do NOT book here. Find somewhere that values its guests and gives you value for your money.

It's cozy inside and out, and has a really nice mix of a little coffee shop and a bar. It's a shame they don't stay open later now. They used to, and that filled the gap between regular coffee and brunch places closing and the bars opening.

The outdoor seating was especially nice when the sun was out, and the place is right in the heart of town. The food was tasty too. Coffee was good, just nothing special.

The ice cream was good, the portions were decent and the price wasn't too high. We only stopped in for ice cream, though the service felt bored and unfriendly. Since we don't speak Dutch, they barely bothered to respond, which was odd.
