Hotel Golfzicht

The staff were kind and helpful. One of them even went out to find milk without lactose for my mother, who can’t have lactose. The rooms, sheets, and towels were clean, and the hotel is well placed for the beach and not too far from Keukenhof gardens. Getting into the hotel is difficult for anyone with mobility problems: there are steps to the front door and more up to reception. There is a lift once you’re inside, but the website should mention the steps. Our “double” was two single beds pushed together, and the gap between them was uncomfortable when we shared with our little one. For the price, I expected a kettle for tea or coffee, a small bottle of water, and something in the fridge. We only had small bottles of shower gel and shampoo. It would have been nice to come back to a hot drink. Breakfast was okay but had a limited choice. Toast would have been welcome with the sliced bread, instead of the pancake machine. The boiled eggs were good, but the scrambled eggs tasted like tasteless fluff, and I suspect they were powdered. Fresh scrambled eggs or fried eggs would have been better. It was an okay stay, though those things would have made it much more enjoyable.

The hotel is a short walk from the coast, about five minutes, and it’s easy to reach by bus, with the stop also five minutes away. It’s a small, tidy, very clean place run by two lovely, friendly people. There’s a nice breakfast selection to start the day, and the owners do their best to make sure guests have a good stay. I’d recommend Hotel Golfzicht and would come back if I’m in the area. Thank you!

The rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet was really good, and parking was €2,50 per night. The TV has Dutch and German channels, and the staff speak several languages. If you want some peace near one of the Netherlands’ most beautiful beaches, Hotel Golfzicht is a good choice. The price is low, but the service isn’t lacking.

The beach is just a three-minute walk away. People were very nice, and my room was good and clean. I had a really nice stay at Hotel Golfzicht, and breakfast was good too.
