Casa Tranquila

I could stay at Casa Tranquilo until I knew my husband was ready to leave the clinic, which meant a lot after his surgery in Nijmegen. It’s about 6 km away. Jolanda made me feel at home right away, in a peaceful polder setting with a Spanish feel throughout. The breakfast was fantastic, and the rooms, eat-in kitchen, patio and garden were lovely. We’d like to come back together someday. Thanks for taking such good care of me, Jolanda! xx

The landlady was very friendly, and the price felt fair for what you get. It’s near the city but still has a country feel. Our room was clean and nicely furnished, with its own shower and toilet, and the bed was really comfortable. There’s everything you need in the shared kitchen, plus a tasty breakfast in the morning. I’d gladly recommend it. 😎

We’ll be back next year. The nature and surroundings made this a weekend to remember, and the hosts were lovely. Our bedroom was top-notch, with a comfortable bed and our own shower. The shared kitchen was roomy and neatly set up. Breakfast was served in a relaxed atmosphere, and it was nice to prepare it there ourselves. Just amazing.

Casa Tranquila is a feast for the eyes, decorated with so much care and taste. Inside, it really feels like Spain, and the same atmosphere carries onto the spacious covered terrace, with lovely views of the area. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was generous, with fresh bread, tasty organic juices, home-grown fruit and fresh organic produce. We’ll definitely be back.
