Hotel De Gravin

We came over by ferry from the UK to see family in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, and this little hotel made a lovely base. The village has a small, friendly feel and a nice square with cafés and bars. We walked to the beach, spent the day there, then went back to a really comfortable room. It’s about a pleasant 20-minute walk to a great beach. The family-run place was spotless, the staff were warm, and breakfast had some lovely healthy choices. Highly recommend staying here.

There aren't many rooms, but each one is brilliantly designed. The staff were helpful and friendly, always smiling, and you can see the care that goes into running the hotel. I'd gladly stay again on my next trip to the Netherlands.

The tiny bar feels like having a drink at home, and breakfast is simple but high quality. The rooms are modern and well equipped, while the place itself stays small, quaint, and informal. You can hear enough creaks in the floor to know it's an old building, but there's enough insulation too. The bathrooms are great, and everyone was friendly. It's right in the heart of greenhouse country, a place to stop and take a breath, with the beach only half a kilometer away.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with eggs made to order and fresh baked goods that tasted homemade, not like the frozen ready-to-bake items you get at many hotels. My room had quality furniture and a comfortable bed, plus a huge, equally nice shower. A charming little hotel.
