Bed & Breakfast Oude Bakkerij

The breakfasts were hearty and delicious, and we never left hungry or short on coffee. Ivo was welcoming and friendly, and let us adjust breakfast times to suit our daily plans. We stayed six nights in July 2025 and enjoyed every bit of it. Our room, Millchamber, was spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The B&B has heaps of character and many original features. Our dog wasn't with us, but we got to say hello to a few friendly dogs belonging to other visitors. We'll happily return next time we visit our local family.

The host greeted us warmly on arrival and quickly showed us to cozy rooms with lovely attention to detail. The breakfasts were lovely each morning, at times that suited us, and both the host and staff were kind and provided high quality service. We rented bikes from the B&B to explore more of the old town and ride to places like Delft. Oude Bakkerij B&B is a wonderful, cute place for a weekend away, and I'd highly recommend it.

The proprietor was kind and helpful, and the coffee and breakfast were amazing. My room was clean, quiet, and just as advertised. I loved this place, it was comfortable and peaceful, right by the historic square.

Ronak gave us such a warm welcome and was the perfect hostess. She paid close attention to details during our two week stay, and we were glad we booked for that long. Breakfast was lovely and personalized to each room, with homemade bakery items on Sunday. One person in our group needed a day of rest and received extra care in the room, including snacks and fresh squeezed juice. The building is over a hundred years old and has modern features while keeping its Old World charm. The beds were extremely comfortable. It's on a quiet street, just steps from the town center, restaurants, shops, a tram stop, and several parks. If you're there on Saturday, the street market has a wide variety of goods from local vendors. This place exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in south Holland, this is it.
