a&o Rotterdam City

The relaxed, social feel made it easy to meet other travelers, and the staff were warm, friendly, and ready to help with questions or recommendations. It's also well placed for public transport, attractions, and good places to eat. I had a wonderful stay. It was good value with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, and I'd happily stay again.

For a short visit to central Rotterdam, this is a nice hotel. The check-in and checkout were smooth, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are spacious enough to move around and keep luggage on the floor, though there are no lockers in the rooms.

For £28.18, I really can't complain. The hostel is under a 10 minute walk from Rotterdam Centraal, which made getting around easy. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and pointed me to a good laundry place nearby while I was traveling. Check-in starts at 15:00 and checkout is at 10:00. The rooms were decent, the location was top tier, and it was a good stay for the price. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Rotterdam.

The shower needs care: it can go from nicely hot to scalding with very little adjustment. The private toilet and shower room were good, though, and the room was clean, tidy, and suited our short stay. I would've liked an extra pillow, since the one provided wasn't great for broad shoulders. It doesn't have the extras of a fancy hotel, but for the price it met our needs perfectly well. The location is good too, near the railway station and city centre.
