A few weeks before I was due to arrive, the hotel cancelled my confirmed booking, saying it was due to “overbooking”. That’s completely unprofessional and unacceptable, especially after I’d decided to give the place a chance despite several negative reviews about cleanliness and management. Communication was poor too. I’d strongly advise future guests to avoid this property. Extremely disappointing.

For the price, I’d happily recommend it. The view was lovely, the place felt welcoming, and the staff were nice. The room was dated, sure, but clean, charming, and perfectly practical. I don’t understand the low ratings. It’s not a luxury hotel, and they don’t pretend it is.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s free coffee and snacks in the hall all day. The bathroom was clean and the beds comfortable. Nothing fancy, but it has what you need for a stay in Rotterdam at a frankly unbeatable price. Just a short walk from the city centre. Highly recommend!

We had a perfect view from our windows of the canal across the street, and the running trails, parks, and multi-ethnic community were just right. The staff were wonderful, too. It’s a budget-friendly place, so expect dated decor and stairs to carry your suitcases up. I’d stay again without hesitation. Thank you.
