Stayci Apartments Museumpark Deluxe

The price was okay, and the apartment was clean and central in Rotterdam. But I stayed at «Alpha», and it was very run down, badly in need of a lot of «TLC». There was also a lot of street noise.

My friends and I booked this apartment for three nights. The room with two single beds was really small. There was only a little hand soap, with no soap, shower gel, shampoo or iron. They also didn't tell us where the washing machine was.

We booked four apartments for December and paid almost 2000euros. We chose the non-refundable option because we needed accommodation for an event. Two weeks before we were due to arrive, the country went into lockdown, the event was rescheduled, and some of us couldn't find flights after the airlines cancelled ours. I called the owner to ask whether there was any possibility of changing things. I found him selfish, apathetic and arrogant. He said we should have booked refundable, though there was no such option, or bought insurance. Easy to say when you can afford insurance. I feel he took 2K from working-class young people without providing anything, and hope he enjoyed our money. It says a lot about someone's attitude to make money at other people's expense.

The room was clean and tidy, but the lighting was dim. The bathroom ventilation fan didn't work, and the dryer had no filter.
