I’d read mixed reviews about Residence TopParken and was worried enough to think about cancelling before our trip. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised and felt it was decent value for the money. The stay was pleasant enough, and for what we paid, I was satisfied. It isn’t perfect, though: cleanliness could use some work, the bathroom wasn’t great, and while I slept well, my children found their beds uncomfortable.
The place looks beautiful, but we were really disappointed by the problems. The car barrier relies on an AI system reading the license plate, and when it doesn’t recognize your vehicle, they won’t give you an NFC card for entry. You have to keep calling someone to let you into the village. On top of that, reception staff refused to print our receipt without explaining why, saying they’d email it instead. The email never came. I’d stay somewhere else.
The park looks great, and it’s all modern and clean. Our house was just the right size and had the basics covered. The heated outdoor pool area is great, and so is the huge playground. The restaurant is very basic, nothing special, but it does the job. Nice view, and the people are kind.
For a short trip, the apartments are decent, modern, and roomy enough. The beds are all singles, including the double, which is just two singles pushed together. Cleaning wasn’t great either: the bathroom floor and microwave were very dirty. It was okay overall.
A pleasant spot for a short break, with nice, well-equipped bungalows. The little “village” has the familiar feel of this kind of Dutch holiday park. It could have been cleaner when we arrived.
