The staff dealt with our crib mix-up really well. We'd requested one before check-in and reception had confirmed it, but there was a single bed in the room instead. Once we called, someone brought a crib in under five minutes. At checkout, the team noticed the mistake and removed the crib charge, which we appreciated. We spent two nights in a Duplex King Room with our baby, and the split levels worked perfectly. We could relax downstairs while the baby slept upstairs. The room was clean and comfortable, and the furniture felt nice. It's a convenient location, about a 10-minute walk to the train station, with private parking behind the building. Roadworks made it a little hard to find, but reception helped over the phone. Head to “ABC Parking”; the hotel's parking is just to the left. It would be useful to have that in the confirmation email. Breakfast choices were limited, though the food was good. One thing for families: there’s only one baby chair in the breakfast room. Great stay.

The hotel is dealing with major road and city works around it at the moment, in Q4 2025. New roads are being built and the river in front is being reopened. The building used to be a college, and plenty of its old features are still there. I've stayed about a dozen times and it's a good hotel. Rooms are fairly basic and could feel cozier, but they have what you need; sizes range from good to better, and the bathrooms are properly equipped. Breakfast has a good range of choices. The restaurant menu is fairly standard, but everything I've eaten was well prepared. The staff are great, friendly, and keen to help. Open-air hotel parking is available for a fee. I can recommend it.

Ahmed and Freek once again found us the lovely room we think of as home. Even though the canal extension work was happening outside, we weren't disturbed at all. Watching the work each day was actually fascinating and impressive. Early each morning, around 5:00, Nikos and Paul greeted me with a kind smile and hello, even though they work through the night and must be tired. It was a lovely way to start the day. Thank you both, and thanks as well for your kindness, the delicious warm dark chocolate walnut cookies, and the big, bright room. Another great stay at Doubletree Sittard. There was public construction underway when I visited, and it took some of the hotel's glamour away. The Dutch didn't seem to mind, of course, but waking up and seeing a digger outside the window wasn't pleasant. It's not the hotel's fault.
