Fletcher Wellness - Hotel Sittard

It's a reliable, lovely, clean hotel, though a bit expensive and everything comes at an extra cost. The restaurant serves really nice food.

I feel really sad and cheated. The hotel didn't tell us about everything, and the rules turned out to be different from what their marketing videos and photos showed. We lost 400e, and they really don't care. Really bad.

The Wellness area was clean and nice for relaxing. The hotel itself was another story: the service was lousy and the room was nasty. The receptionist, a bald guy who thinks he's Vin Diesel, kept asking me what I'd said and what that was, as if he couldn't hear. My girlfriend got a “HUH?” in response. I've had more hospitality at the McDonalds across the street. While we waited, he kept picking up the ringing phone and putting it straight back down. The person ahead of us had a suitcase already in their room and apparently could switch rooms. We were given a hole of a room with white stains, water leak stains, and mold, but were told every other room was booked and the hotel was sold out. While we waited, and when I returned to complain about the room, several other people came back angry and annoyed about their rooms, the service, and door cards not working. The Wellness area was the one good part.

The location and facilities were great, but the rooms let the hotel down. The beds were so soft and uncomfortable that I couldn't sleep at all for the first two nights. Restaurant, room, and parking prices felt like those of a four-star hotel, while the quality overall was closer to three stars. The rooms and beds need a lot of upgrading to justify the price.
