Quiet and really beautiful, with a swimming pool and other handy facilities too. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The bill at checkout spoiled an otherwise lovely weekend. We left just an hour after the departure time and were charged €25.00 for an extra night. The checkout time apparently appears somewhere in a booklet, but nobody mentioned it when we arrived, and there’s no reception where guests are registered and given information. There isn’t even a late checkout rate. It’s a nice campsite, but that left us with a bad taste.

We’re having a lovely time here. The campsite is mostly bungalows, many of which their owners rent out privately through Natuurhuisjes. It’s set in the woods, with plenty of opportunities to walk and cycle.

An investment company has bought the campsite, which is changing hands now. It’s taking away some of the campsite charm. Whether the new management turns out to be a good change remains to be seen.

We found a lovely campsite in a lesser-known part of the north of the Netherlands. The owner was so helpful and greeted us with a nice surprise. We’d gladly recommend it!
