Annelies and her husband were so welcoming and attentive. The town centre is an easy walk away, with lots of restaurants to pick from. I stayed in chalet #15, a well-equipped place with all the appliances and amenities I needed. The setting is beautiful and quiet, with only the soft birdsong to break the silence.

We were very happy with our stay. The barn has such a calm, welcoming feel, and we were completely satisfied with it. Sadly, my wife became ill unexpectedly, so we couldn't enjoy the whole vacation and had to leave early. The landlord was very helpful with the insurance company.

Exploring around Terherne on bicycles and by sloop was fantastic. We rented one and had a great time. 🥰 We spent two lovely weeks here, and our hosts were very friendly.

The spot by the water is beautiful, and the price was reasonable. Annelies and Gertjan gave us a warm welcome, though we didn't see them again after we left, which was a small downside. We stayed in the Buthús apartment from October 17th to 24th, and the website left out some important details. Both the bedroom and bathroom are internal with no windows. The living room has just one small hinged window that opens. There's nowhere inside to put suitcases, so ours had to go back in the car, although Annelies offered the shed as an option. The advertised luxurious double box spring was only 1.60 meters wide and sagged badly, so it needs replacing. The mattress protector was very dirty and clearly hadn't been shaken out or washed in weeks. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, and the shower drained so slowly that we stood in a big puddle. For a place advertised as available all year, the living room radiator was too small to warm the whole apartment, and the underfloor heating in the bedroom and bathroom wasn't working properly. Annelies offered an electric oil-filled radiator, which we really needed to keep from being too cold. The outside light stayed on all night, which I understand given the burglary risk. But the curtain over the front door was so thin that light flooded the living room and the adjoining bedroom.
